Really got to love how Bulova did things back during this period.

Watch is a nice match to the 1919 Rubaiyat I posted a few months ago with these case markings

1919 Bulova Rubaiyat watch 14K 1000162

1919 Rubaiyat watch 14 gold 1000162

Note the big difference in seral number and the lack of the globe and 'American Standard' stamps.

Dial looks the sme, case is slightly different (front bezel engraving) and different movement (Rubaiyat v Bulova). This might yet be another example showing Bulova's progression into using their own branded movements.

Model wise Bulova Lady Maxim...year wise 1921/22.

Dating may come down to the movements and not the case. Bulova manufactured the cases in the US in 1919, but didn't stamp them stamped with serial number until such time of assembly with the movement.

Just thinking out aloud.

I will agree with Lady Maxim. Based on movement I'm inclined to lean towards a date of 1921 as well.

Now I have 2 Lady Maxim's, one is round and the other is octagonal shaped, both from 1921.
