Is the case back (either inside or outside) marked Bulova?

Hi William

The inside is marke "Bulova Quality" - it is fading. Also patent date of "Pat. Jan. 11. 1927". Between the bottom lugs is the letter "F"

Thanks PJ   So the case is similar to this 1929 Unknown.

Another similar here.  I bet your watch and the two linked unknowns all have single hinged case.

The case serial numbers on the two linked watches are all pretty close.
9357482
9358251
Your case serial number is
9134782

While we don't know much about what these serial numbers mean, short of first digit corrisponding to year w/i decade of production, they didn't just use them randomly.

EDIT:  Lots of ads and discussion in this 1930 Unknown here.

Thanks William

I'll post a photo once I get the dial back and it's reassembled with a new leather strap. Should be a handsome watch.

Very nice example.

I do have a few Bulova. I will post others as well.

Cheers

This model still eludes us despite having an advert showing the watch.

Unknown for me and a packet of chocolate cookies to the first person to find an ID for this beauty :-)

Just updated a photo with the refinished dial on the 1929 unknown. It turned out well.
