I'm just guessing that the case was made by Star because the only crystal I found that would fit it is listed as a Star crystal. There's no stamping to indicate gold content and the stainless back is blank inside.

I think we have an ad for this one....but nothing in the main ad database btwn 1950 thru 1954. The unique lugs and stepped side (both bezel and case back) should jump out at us.

12 years 10 monthsWow, that's cool. At first glance I thought I was looking at and Academy Award watch. We've ID'd from this advert in the past (Brixsome). This is a display case we occasionally see without the interior but I've only seen it two or three times WITH the interior component. Now we get to see it with the WATCH it was sold with. I have the treasure chest with the interior, now I need an AERONAUT to put inside of it.
Great package merc, congrats.

12 years 10 monthsI'd vote "Areonat " but the display is a novelty case. We have seen Cristmas Ornament cases, Diploma or Graduation cases, Wedding Bell and a few others I don't have yet. I have 3 different Graduation displays, 3 Christmas ornament displays, but not yet the Chest. Many of our menbers have seen my AA collection, all on Original displays, so having your watch posted in an ad is really awesome. Very nice !
