10A 16 jewels 2 adj ; case 18 KGF ; running strong
EDIT: Updated root record w/ info from Syfre:
side the case :
American standard
25 years
19 K gold filled (yes 19 ! )
1404587
there is also a "coat of arms" (i used google translate for that because i don't know the english word, it's "blason" in french). I don't think this is a bulova case.
The movement is a very nice bulova 10A 16j ; serial number 115595
there is also a symbol for the date code (probably how i dated it)
The dial is a metal dial with bulova on it.
I now agree.....Gold Filled = Bulova 153.
It is great to see an advert finally showing an 18kt gold filled version thus cementing the notion that these do belong to the 153 model grouping. Nice work all. Still the question remains, why 19kt and why 16 jewel variants?

All, your knowledge is spectacularly interesting. I am trying to imagine how it was that my great grandmother came by her watch that is almost identical to that being described in this thread - but no quite!! I'll add photos showing these characteristics. I really don't know what the movement serial number means, as I don't see one, but everything else seems spot on. On the movement there is a 10C where other photos show 10A, what does that even mean? So, .... what is it that 'GG' had? That is .... if folks are still paying attention to this. Thanks.
