I believe this one is also named the His Excellency "LL" in another 1949 ad.
The 1949 ad in root record says 14K gold filled case. Watch is 10K GF. The 1949 ad for the His Excellency "LL" (below) states stainless back.
Is there some confusion w/ this case between Director, Academy Awards "ZZ", and His Excellency "LL", and generic His Excellency (the root ad states "Expansion Band", while ad directly above states "Leather")? It could be the date of production dictates the model, along w/ some minor characteristics differences. One Academy Awards "ZZ" ad is from 1951.
If there is overlap in years of production, the mount may come into play- not only in assigning model variant but possibly base (generic) model name.

In reply to Will, the AA "ZZ" is by bobbee
Thanks Bobbee That helps :) I was cross-referencing other examples in this period, and saw your comments on the 1953 His Excellency here, and noted the shadow dial in that record.
