Sweet looking watch.... I believe this is a 1970 Accutron Day and Date "AV". I believe this could be an original Bulova band...

It really does look great.....  popped in a new battery... took right off humming.  Unfortunately... hands stopped moving about 12 hours later.... still humming so I know the coils are good.... just need to have someone ungunk probably.

I agree on the 'Day Date AV' ID - Nice piece plains, good look on that bracelet.

I would agree on the Accutron Day Date but not the variant 'AV'. The 'AV' variant has a 'Brown striped strap of alternating smooth and napped corfam'.

Who in their right mind would leave this watch on a Corfam strap?

NY times reffered to Corfam as Du Pont's "$100 million Edsel"!

  Date and Day "AV".

It's the nearest match, too.

Confirming model and variant from the 1972 ads in the forum.  Clearly shows the engraving. 1971 Bulova Accutron Date & Day "AV"
