These are a very cool looking watch when with their original matching band. I'm not sure if this should be a 1970 or 1972 Bulova Spinnaker. Normally we go by the case date, but this model may have been produced in 1972 from stock parts as we see an aweful lot of N0 stamped cases. We rarely see a N1 stamped case in this style.
Dang, this is a cool watch. I picked one up a couple months ago but haven't gotten around to photographing and adding it (along with eleven others I'm sorry to say). Mine is also a 1972 movement in a 1970 case and has the original orange/white strap. My wife says I can't wear it outside of the house.
1972 Bulova Spinnaker, in all it's glory. Well done Ken, I am totally grooving on this beauty.
The strap is in fair condition; I'd like to have it re-produced if anyone knows a good leather maker. I've set it aside as to not wear it out any further and placed a completely white strap on it, which doesn't look too bad. I get a mix of likes and dislikes on the style from others, but I rather dig it!

Lovely looking watch, but I think it might be a recased one.
The case serial on both of the other examples in the db are also from 1972, and start with 3-34.
Both are smaller looking cases, and are the same shape as each other. The cases are polished, with no "grain" like this one.
This example has a strap that does not quite fit too, unlike the others. Bulova atraps should fit snugly.
The case date is a couple of years too early.
All this points to the case being non-original.
Scratch the above, just seen the variant in Mark's post here:

Shows this same case style sorry!
