Original octagonal box with tag "Bulova Accutron Swiss" - No date code on back; back not taken off to view movement. ex: deceased estate. Have looked through the listings, but can't find this one. Any information appreciated.

Hello callias, welcome to myBulova. This watch is a challenge to ID properly. The case back is one we see regularly but doesn't have the standard Bulova date code. Without seeing the date code on the movement and using the inscription I would date it to 1972 or 1973. Not having any gold markings I doubt the case is solid gold. It's hard to tell if the clam shell display case is original but it seems to be of the era of the watch. The watch is similar to a Gold Clipper of the early 70's with one notable exception. The Golden Clippers had 17 jewel movements while your watch is marked 23 jewel. Here is an advert showing the Golden Clipper.
I've looked through our adverts, at this point I find no match. I have updated the date to 1973.
