Your case number is the same as mine - 2687. The Bulova Case Parts Catalog says they take an 11AL same as your. It also says the Bulova Crystal is #1146-2FA. I don't know about the crystal because mine doesn't have one (NOS Case).
I still don't understand this diamond edge crystal. Does it have a special ring to go with it?

I disagree.
If the Glass were for the 'EXCELENCY' 'D' only the 'EXCELLENCY' 'D' would be the only model listed on the GS packet.
The package is showing the Crystal fits 3 Models - Tickers Case number being one of them.
PS.
Bulova Glass # 1146E-2 would fit Case number 1146.
