Here's a SOLID KARAT "golden oldie," the The BULOVA GRANT, Circa 1946. 17 Jewels, SOLID 14 karat gold case.... Just gotta LOVE eBayer photography, sometimes!?
BEST :-) William
EDIT: 2012.12.17 ID changed from Grant to Patriot.
I would say delete this record or move it into the unknown category, case serial number would be 1943, and nothing to confirm movement, or case material. F.Scott William, admits it was from e-bay, so in other words we are trying to ID something we will never have any solid proof of.
It looks like the Patriot is solid 14K Pink Gold, and the Grant is solid 14K Yellow Gold, same style case, but different dials.
I think DarHin has a record for a solid yellow gold Patriot w/ ad in record...from around this time... If it was the Patriot in 1943 or 1946, and there's a Yellow ad, then date difference may not matter.
I do agree there's some unknowns on this record, but we certainly have ID'ed records with no confirmed jewel count or movement date/caliber lately- records with less info than this. Something to consider. I'd be fine with naming it the Patriot then deleting it.
