1955 mercury 18 months is just about how long it took me to learn how to use my digital camera and post on this site.I've been a member her for close to two years but was lurking in the shadows before that.Stephen,this is not my first Bulova but my pictures are not the best.I'm waiting for a light tent to arrive and if that doesn't work then I'll have to fork out the big bucks for a macro lens.On another note I just realised that the watch case might just be yellow gold since 14k is darker and also I haven't polished this one yet.Denis.
The lugs on subject watch may be different that those pictured in this snippet of the "DD" ad referenced in thread.
EDIT: I think in 1946 and maybe even 1947, we have some watch examples and ads which suggest the watch with the softer angled lugs (like subject watch) may even be a Director, but I don't remember for sure. The hard-angled lugs in the ad are different than the softer-angled subject watch lugs.
