Blue dial with Orange Highlights. Orange sweep hand. Day and Date are on opposite sides of the dial like the President line.
I think you may be right; it would appear to be a 23 jewel Senator model, as they were 23 jewels and had that distinct pie-pan like bezel. There were also Oceanographers with a similar design, and the orange accents are often seen in diver's watches; but they were 17 jewel and rated 333ft or more. I did not find a matching ad, but did find one ad to support that the Senator line did have variants with the separated day and date windows:

Edit: I think the subject watch may actually be the 'A' variant in the photo with the blue dial

Hi all. This thread drew me to this great site as I was trying to identify my own vintage Bulova. It looks like I have the exact same model except that mine has the little whale on the face, similar to the illustration in the advertisement. Figured I'd post these images. Hopefully they will help to correctly identify this model. On the back, under the BULOVA name, is "N2." Cheers!
