I am super happy to add this watch as the first 18K for my collection. It is one I took a chance on, the photos were blurry and there wasn't a photo of the inside of the case or the movement. So at best I was just hoping it was all Bulova. Much to my pleasant surprise it seems to be an early Bulova design pre American Standard, I even got a cherry on top by having an ad for it already. My ad is from 1924 and it has it as the 1579-S. I am guessing at the date because I really can't find anything to indicate the date other than the ad. Interesting on the movement it has 1579 and 5K. I don't know if 1579 is the serial number or the model name and I don't know if 5K is the movement model or not. I don't know much but that I love it!
17 jewel working movement, case only says 18 MPK and has lots of service marks. I love the flowers on the dial. The 18K solid white gold case has two triangular sapphires, one on each end.
In reply to Man, that is amazing! Superb… by neetstuf-4-u
