Welp, here's an interesting one. It appears to be a doctor's watch of some type.
The case is marked "Bulova New York". Its got a 10K rolled gold plate bezel with a stainless back. I would suggest 1941.
The movement is a 17J 7AC.
The movement has two date codes. One is a square which is consistent with the date range for the 7AC, 1936. The other is an asterisk, consistent with the serial number on the case, 1941.
It runs and keeps time.
Nice one. It certainly looks to be a 1941 Bulova Physician. It should be noted I have the same watch also with a 7AC movement with a square date code. I suspect Bulova had a stock of 7AC movements and repurposed these when the earlier 13AL ran out hence the later date codes. Just a theory. No ads for this model but ID'd previously by a Crystal catalog.
Nice one! A "must have model" for serious collectors! Identical to this one. I own a 1936 with a 13AE.
Well found!
