This watch belonged to my wife's grandmother. It was passed down to my wife. It still works. I set the time and wound it up and checked it and it keeps time still. I have not taken it to a watch repair place to pull off the back to inspect the movement or to get the movement model.
I do believe you have the Elissa model, as seen here. You most likely have a 17-jewel movement, and I would say the band is original.

Andersok,
Awesome! Thank you very much. I was scrolling like crazy doing searchs trying to find out what it was. It still works! I think that goes to show some quality in these watches back then that it would still be working nearly 70 years later! I read on the link that it should be serviced? Do you know what that might run? Is a watch like this of high value? Should it be cleaned/oiled and buffed to bring back it's shine and then stored away in a safe?
Thank you very much for taking the time to answer this!
