Believe this to be a 1968 Oceanographer Model "H" variant. Never seen another with the blue face. Pristine condition, no rust, and I can probably set my quartz watches by it. Solid. Back of case says "Waterproof, Stainless Steel Case, Anti Magnetic, Shock Resistant, M8". Movement also has M8 date stamp. I have the original stainless steel mesh band as well, also in great shape, but it makes the watch a bit heavy to wear, and I wear this one daily.

Yea the ad says "gray dial". I'm checking on the "2893" stamped in ink on inside case back. If we have a grey dial example in same case, it could be the blue dial is a different variant letter. Or redial in blue? I'll also check for an ad showing same case w/ text stating blue dial (or a color ad).
I'm good with tentative Oceanographer "H" in the meantime.
Hello again Mike, looks like you're on a roll. I love this era of Bulova watches. I have a basic stainless model as well that's my daily driver.
At the risk of hairsplitting I will agree with Oceanographer based on the dial. I don't think I can agree with the "H" designation based on the dial though. The advert does not have 'Oceanographer' beneath Bulova and it is marked 'Super Waterproof' where the subject is different.
