Watch Description

First, thanks to all involved for this fantastic resource!

Second, this looks like a Calendial D but a blue-grey dial variant (dial may be sun-faded). The "plunger' date quick change is a fantastic feature!

Third, Like neetstuf-4-u's, the inside of case back is ink stamped "3335" (https://mybulova.com/watches/1973-calendial-d-9028) with the same hour markers and "Automatic" within a white multi-line stripe.

Fourth, did Bulova change model names with different colour dials?

Fifth, would love to find an advert for this or any colour variations.

Sixth, what (if anything) does the small hallmark of "64" on the movement denote?

Finally, the (cheap and ugly) strap it arrived with will be replaced in short order.

Thanks and regards,

-G

OK, my mistake. Good catch, Jim. Watch looks white in the photos. If it is yellow, then the linebook may be in error (color). I found no linebook combination of graduated blue dial in this casing with yellow gold plated bezel.

Calendial "E". Looks to be white plated case, but the as the plating wears the yellow underneath will come through.

Yes. The gold plating has rubbed off in high touch areas, photos below in new comment.

I'm going to suggest we ID this watch as a Calendial without a variant as there is no white case with a blue dial any of our source material. It's even possible that at some point there was a movement/dial swap into this case. Bulova ALSO used the 'Calendial" moniker on a whole line of Caravelle watches.

The line book clearly indicates a plated case.   I have not heard of Bulova ever plating white gold on a case.  I have no problem with this being a Variant E.
