I would say this one is a match to the Bulova R.N.; like this one.

It appears your watch is missing the center seconds hand (notice the post in the middle).

Thanks for replying, the dial looks the same as that RN, watch band looks different and yes i believe the seconds hand is missing then.

Your band will be a replacement band.  It is very common to have a replacement band and it does not take away from the watch at all.

Good pickup on the missing second hand Ken.

I think the R.N stands for "Registered Nurse", which explains the second hand and outer minute track numbering.

Linebook also lists this watch under the group name of "Nurses".

  • Nightingale
  • Cynthia
  • R.N.
  • Flight Nurse
  • Mermaid
  • Gray Lady
  • Air Nurse
  • Clara Barton
  • Red Cross

Good match Ken, agree with R.N. with missing second hand.

That's a beauty and well worth replacing the missing seconds hand.

Hi Chrisi. Your watch should have a Bulova 6BMC 17 jewel movement inside. There's 2 of these complete movements for sale on ebay right now for $4.95 + $4 shipping and both have the seconds hand on them. You may want to grab one of them to get a seconds hand for your watch. That's going to be the cheapest way to obtain one I think plus you will have some more spare parts if ever needed.

1957  Bulova R.N.  is a good match.  Noting the missing second hand.
