This is one of several newspaper articles I've found on Bulova School of Watchmaking, and Bulova's efforts to help Vets achieve their full potentials after a rough war....Too cool! This one is from the Torrance Herald.
WOW !! That is one of the most moving articles I've read in many years and brings a tear of joy and pride in my country for doing what should have been done long ago. I am a vet of the Vietnam era and proudly served my country luckily with out any major damage to myself. Thanks for finding this great piece of history Will.

And in the Covina Argus Citizen (California newspaper) dated August 9, 1946, a demonstration sponsored by the Bulova Watch Company. Wonder if any of these men were among the graduating class General Bradley mentions in the article above, or perhaps were among the next graduating class? They live in the same area, and very well could have been. Bulova at its best, and various newspaper articles from around the nation suggest this wasn't just happening in Los Angeles and New York.
You guys have plenty to be proud about. I did not know the Bulova watch Co. helped servicemen at such an early time in their history.
This Jan. 6th. 1924 ad from the Cedar Rapids Republican states: "All watches taken in trade will be sent to watch-making classes of the U.S. Vocational Schools for Ex-Servicemen to practice on."
Very generous indeed.
