In reply to Unknown for now. by Kathy L.
Hi Kathy L.
I found an identical watch on ebay. Same case, same movement, same dial, same crown, same year, and even the serial number is within 300 numbers. Mine is 416670, and the watch from Calgary, Canada is 416330. I have been advised to not leave messages on this forum which contain information about a current ebay listing. I am pleased to know that it isn't a frankenwatch, and I would like to have my listing updated to include that it is a legitimate Bulova. Anyway that I can send a message not using the forum so that this watch can be reviewed? Thank you for your time.

Jimmy - your watch is a Bulova but we do not have a record of the name. When we assign a watch the UNKNOWN name we are only saying that we don't know the proper model name. If we thought is was a watch assembled from components from different years we might mark it as Non-Conforming which essentially means it cannot be properly dated. A watch that contained components that are not Bulova would most likely be removed from the site.

Hi Geoff,
Thank you for the clarification. You are correct, I was thinking that UNKNOWN meant that the watch was not considered an authentic model. I also believed that was the case with the 1977 11AOACB that I previously believed to be a "Jetstar". I still am not certain that watch has an original case.
Concerning this 1972 microrotor model, I originally bought it from ebay listed as an "Ambassador". Having almost a year of studying on MyBulova under my belt I now recognize that all "Ambassador" models I have seen are signed as such on the dials. I really appreciate your expertise in identifying Bulovas, and your willingness to tactfully educate the neophytes among us. I enjoy this forum and value the access to the decades of experience of the panel members. Thanx
Jimmy
